Hezekiah Jones
Hezekiah Jones
Hezekiah Jones is a seasoned genre-defying band rooted in writing finely crafted songs and performed by a stellar line-up of Philadelphia's best musicians. Through their 9 years they have coalesced into a band that effectively blends Americana with infusions of an eclectic mix of New Orleans style Jazz, Harmonic Folk and Beatles-like Pop-Rock. Raph Cutrufello is the one constant over the 8 years of existence and the man responsible for starting Hezekiah Jones. Bruce Warren, Assistant Manager of WXPN in Philadelphia says, "Hezekiah Jones are phenomenally talented. I think Raph is one of the most creative, one of the most unique, and has a real singular voice and vision for his music." Only in the last few years did Cutrufello find a group of musicians that he has clicked with, and those six players became steady band mates. Cutrufello, borrowing from the Ramones, adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname "Jones."

Hezekiah Jones is the name Raph Cutrufello uses as his nickname and the other members of the band include Kiley Ryan(Kiwi Jones), Phil D'Agostino(Pepe Jones), Daniel Bower(Roy G. Biv Jones), Matt Helm(Schuylkill Jones), and Brad Hinton(Poconos Jones). For Cutrufello, playing with the current group has cemented what he feels his songs are supposed to sound like. While getting material together for the next album, band members have also spent time fronting their own musical ventures and working with other notable artists from Philadelphia and beyond. Each member having his own side project amplifies the talent in Hezekiah Jones as a whole; it is a musical synergy that grows exponentially when they play together.

Hezekiah Jones were nominated two consecutive years as Best Indie Rock Band / Americana Band by Tri-State Indie Awards. They have played nearly all of the key venues in Philadelphia and have also performed at WXPN's always sold out Xponential Festival. Hezekiah Jones has a much-anticipated album slated for release in 2015 and looks forward to a busy year.

"Hezekiah Jones is a superb singer-songwriter, with a very talented group of musical friends, and music that ranges from toe-tapping fun to glued-to-your-seat awe-inspiring moments."
- One Fan at a Time

Hezekiah Jones is the musical nom de plume for Raphael Cutrufello and a band of like-minded musicians crafting alternative folk music. His catalog of songs sometimes sounds like a post-apocalyptic White Album, as covered by Sufjan Stevens. The biting, sometimes campy vibe only serves to intensify the blow of his sucker-punch ballads. Songs are filled with outlandish characters, imagined landscapes, ringing harmonies, and baroque instrumental flourishes, but never disconnect from the tangible feelings at their center. -Peter Marinari, CBS Philadelphia
Black Horse Motel
Black Horse Motel
Philadelphia's Black Horse Motel draws on traditional folk and Americana roots, blends in rock, country, and other influences, and ties it together with rich vocal harmonies. Songs are built on the foundations of folk instrumentation and lyrics, and are elevated by an infectious blend of guitars, strings, drums and voices. The resulting sound is heart-breaking, foot-stomping modern folk. The band will be releasing a new 5-song EP in autumn of 2016.

With years of sharing the stage with artists like Neko Case, Rachael Yamagata, Nicole Atkins, Gillian Welch, Linda Rondstadt, and Amos Lee, Woodstock, New York singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Adrien Reju continues to build an evolving and impressive career in music. Now she's expanding her art into new realms with the release of her latest studio project, Strange Love & the Secret Language. an album being billed as "a collection of unconventional love songs," released on Zip Records, August 7th, 2015. The album was recorded in Woodstock with the production duo The Elegant Too (P. Diddy, Yoko Ono, John Cale) and offers listeners a lush, deeply textured indie pop record, with comparisons to Fleetwood Mac and Feist, that has caught the attention of Triple A radio stations including WDST (Woodstock) and WXPN (Philadelphia), and finds Reju in the company of fellow Woodstock artists A.C. Newman (The New Pornographers) and Marco Benevento. In addition to her striking original songs, Reju also covers tunes by David Bowie, Elliot Smith, and Prince. Glide Magazine says, "Here Reju has collaborated with her musical contemporaries, recorded choice covers and delivered a lucid album that resonates on first listen – pretty much an ideal album concept."
