A Day Without Love
A Day Without Love
Brian Walker of A Day Without Love holds a quote by Winston Churchill close to his heart: "when you're going through hell, keep going."

Picking up a guitar for the first time at age 18, what has helped Walker keep walking through life is music. He melds alternative and progressive rock sensibilities with heartfelt, emotional lyrics in the hopes that his art can also help people find themselves.

A Day Without Love gained its name from a scene Walker could have never planned on witnessing in his lifetime.

"I was in my sophomore year of college, and I witnessed something terrible outside my dorm," said Walker, a Penn State graduate and current business psychology grad student at Hofstra University in Long Island, N.Y. "A girl was getting beaten by her boyfriend while he threatened to rape her. I shouted and yelled at the man, and fortunately was able to have the cops called and stop this from happening. After the ordeal was over, I cried and wrote a poem called A Day Without Love."

His first release since 2008, Walker is back with the 6-song EP "Island," out April 16, 2013. Inspired by everyone from Circa Survive to City and Colour, the album oscillates between confronting feelings of loneliness and isolation on the title track to remembering unrequited love on "Freeze" to offering a glimmer of hope on "Everything is Beautiful."

"This album isn't just a series of songs for people to have fun listening to," Walker says. "It's a story, a story of learning to love yourself and coping with feeling lonely."

Walker is accompanied by a rotating cast of musicians for live shows.

Catch A Day Without Love live in the Tristate area throughout 2013 and 2014.
Moon Days
Moon Days
moon days is an indie rock band from the Philadelphia area. Founded by childhood friends Eric Bauberger, John Mosley, and Jake Fuscia, the band strives to combine retro (and even classical) influences with more modern sensibilities, producing songs that can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages and fans of all genres. The band takes pride in the fact that the music can not be tied down to one genre, being described alternatively as indie rock, pop, folk, and even psychedelic.
In Different Sounds
In Different Sounds
In Different Sounds is the natural progression of a friendship between four independent songwriters from the Philadelphia area. This indie-rock band combines the unique influences of each of its members into an earnest blend of alternative rock, pop, synth, and folk. In collaboration, they have created an environment that pushes each individual beyond their limitations. The result is an exciting group which is just as comfortable with energetic, electric mayhem as it is with dulcet, acoustic harmony. The band consists of Kate Kozak on keys, Jordan McKenney on drums, Lucas Waldburger on guitar, Patrick Downey on bass, and everyone on vocals. In Different Sounds is playing shows in Philadelphia and South Jersey and is rapidly expanding to the surrounding areas. They are currently working on their debut EP, The Muskat Sessions, which will be released in the coming months.
